ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ರಾಜ್ಯ ವಿಧಾನಪರಿಷತ್ತಿನಲ್ಲಿ ತೆರವುಗೊಳ್ಳಲಿರುವ ಎಂ ಎಲ್ ಸಿ ಸ್ಥಾನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದು ಸ್ಥಾನಕ್ಕೆ ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ಒಂದು ಸ್ಥಾನ ಮೀಸಲಿಟ್ಟು ಡಾಕ್ಟರ್ ಫಾರೂಕ್ ಅಹಮದ್ ಮಣ್ಣೂರ್ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಕೊಡಲು ಹಿಂದುಳಿದ ಕಲ್ಯಾಣ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದ ಹಲವಾರು ಜನರ ಅಪೇಕ್ಷೆಯಾಗಿದೆ.
ಕಲಬುರ್ಗಿ ನಗರದಲ್ಲಿ ಬಹು ಜನಪ್ರಿಯವಾಗಿರುವ ಮಣ್ಣೂರ್ ಮಲ್ಟಿ ಸ್ಪೆಷಾಲಿಟಿ ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಯ ಎಂ. ಡಿ. ಹಾಗೂ ಜನಪ್ರಿಯ ವೈದ್ಯರಾಗಿರುವ ಡಾ. ಮಣ್ಣೂರ್ ಅವರನ್ನು ಮೇಲ್ಮನೆಗೆ ನಾಮ ನಿರ್ದೇಶನ ಮಾಡಬೇಕೆಂದು ಇಲ್ಲಿಯ ಜನರ ಆಶಯವಾಗಿದೆ.

ಡಾಕ್ಟರ್ ಫಾರೂಕ್ ಅಹಮದ್ ವೈದ್ಯರು ತಮ್ಮ ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ಕೆಲಸದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಹಲವಾರು ಸಮಾಜೋಪಕಾರಿ ಕೆಲಸಗಳಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ತೊಡಗಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಕಲ್ಬುರ್ಗಿ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆ, ಬೀದರ್ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಮಣ್ಣೂರ್ ಫೌಂಡೇಶನ್ ಮುಖಾಂತರ ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಸಹಾಯಧನ ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ವಿವಿಧ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ಸಹಾಯದ ಹಸ್ತ ಚಾಚುತ್ತಲೇ ಇರುತ್ತಾರೆ ಮಣ್ಣೂರ್ ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರತಿ ವರ್ಷ ನಡೆಯುವ ವಾರ್ಷಿಕೋತ್ಸವದ ಅಂಗವಾಗಿ ಉಚಿತ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸಾ ಶಿಬಿರಗಳ ಮುಖಾಂತರ ಲಕ್ಷಕ್ಕೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಬಡವರ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆಯನ್ನು ಉಚಿತವಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಿದ ಹಲವಾರು ಉದಾಹರಣೆಗಳಿವೆ . ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಗೆ ಬಂದ ರೋಗಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆ ನೀಡುವಲ್ಲಿ ಮಣ್ಣೂರು ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಯ ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿಗಳು ಯಶಸ್ವಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ಈಗಾಗಲೇ ಡಾಕ್ಟರ್ ಫಾರೂಕ್ ಅಹಮ್ಮದ್ ಮಣ್ಣುರ್ ಅವರ ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಮತ್ತು ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ಸೇವೆಯನ್ನು ಗುರುತಿಸಿ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ವಿಧಾನ ಪರಿಷತ್ತಿಗೆ ಅವರನ್ನು ಆಯ್ಕೆ ಮಾಡುವ ಮೂಲಕ ಇನ್ನು ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ಕೆಲಸ ಮಾಡಲು ಡಾಕ್ಟರ್ ಮನ್ನೂರ್ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಅವಕಾಶ ಕೊಡುವಂತೆ ಇಲ್ಲಿಯ ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕರು ಕೋರಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
